For the measly sum of $500 a month Jeep will sell you one, in a year or so.

I was actually curious but even if the Jeep just used the Ram’s engine it will more powerful than any you could of got in that gen Silverado. Pretty good progress.

Ram 3.0 V6 - 240hp / 420lbft

GMT400 6.5 V8 - 195hp / 430lbft

Externally the bumper is the only giveaway... unless its running.

Inside the tach has a lower redline and there’s a ‘DIESEL FUEL ONLY’ above the gauge.

That’s it, unless you pop the hood.

Actually that still could be a diesel. They didn’t get the “diesel” bumper until 95 or 96 when the turbo 6.5 came out with the intercooler. Also those bumpers make a great fog light mount.

Did they put the non-intercooled 6.5 in the Tahoe? And I agree, that bumper is nice, I was thinking of getting one for my Silverado.

Haha. It’s hard to get much lower of a redline than the gas engine already had. The TBI trucks were 4250 if I recall correctly.
